As the print works closes at a big regional newspaper, a group of journalists gather in the local pub to speed colleagues on their way. Each one has a story to tell.
With a lifetime of reporting on the local community and beyond, this determined and largely-cynical group of men and women tell stories which cover a range of activities from the definitely criminal to the downright fantastical.
These stories are embedded in ‘The Printer’s Devil,’ told by Joel, newly-minted reporter, who, on a three-month placement at the paper, is determined to make his mark.
‘The Printer’s Devil,’ although entirely a work of fiction, was inspired by the demolition of the print works at the Bristol Evening Post building and by the work of local artists on that subject.
